My style is collaborative, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I specialize in integrative, holistic psychotherapy – a synthesis of relational psychotherapy, mindfulness, mind-body modalities, and attachment-based approaches. I bring many years of mindfulness meditation, marriage, parenting, yoga practice, and personal therapy to my work as a therapist.
I am a board licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering individual and couples psychotherapy and counseling. Additionally, I supervise therapists-in-training at the Marina Counseling Center as well as interns in my private practice.
I received a masters degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and an undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University. I regularly participate in advanced training and education in many areas, including Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) method for working with couples. In addition, I continue my study and practice of mindfulness based approaches such as Hakomi, Experiential Couples Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
